Sterling Silver Bon Bon Basket by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, 1893. The LibraryA very fine and attractive bon bon basket, fully hallmarked for James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, 1893. The basket boasts a wonderful pierced foliate design with flowers to the border and base. The base shows some losses to the silver at each side; the losses appear to be deliberate in their placement and arched form, thus it appears to be a later deliberate alteration to the design (please see photographs). Overall the basket is in a good condition,

All other hallmarks to include the jubilee mark remain clearly visible on both pepperettes

The second daguerreotype appears to have suffered prolonged exposure to sunlight at some point in its past
