On the Rocks - giclee print on canvas 36" x 18" printThis is from a kayaking trip I took just off from Yellow Point on Vancouver Island. I loved the way the bold colours of the kayaks contrasted the subtle tones of the rocks.

Painting in these soft sunset colours made my acrylic look almost like watercolour

The colour combinations on this cool winter morning were beautiful

The surfer is watching the water carefully as he anticipates the next big wave

A father and child play in the gentle waters

The overall feeling of the painting is one of tranquility and stillness

This is a 16" x 20" piece - smaller than my usual - but it gave me a chace to focus on the soft glow of a late afternoon by the water

The majestic Mount Prevost provides a stunning backdrop

This is one of the few times it has been cold enough in Cowichan Bay for the water from the river actually freeze on top of the ocean

The combination of colours gives the painting a tranquil feel
