Poppy Jasper

Poppy JasperJasper is an aggregate of microgranular quartz and or cryptocrystalline chalcedony. It is an opaque, impure variety of silica, usually red, yellow, brown or green in color. The red color is due to iron inclusions. The difference between jasper and agate is in its luminosity; jasper being opaque and agate having translucent properties. Both are chalcedony.
