CHAD VALLEY Sooty Bear Hand Puppet ~ 1950s Masked manDating back from 1915, Chad Valley is one of the most recognizable Toymakers in England. And no better than the children's TV character Sooty to embody their world of creations. This Sooty Bear Hand Puppet has a very sweet expression with hand stitched nose and mouth. It features glass eyes, an indication of an early model made circa 1950s. It was nicely crafted from mohair plush and has rexine (oilcloth) paw pads and a head stuffed with excelsior

Mr Punch's hands are made from felt

Jester is very well made and fits an adult hand nicely

Its eye-catching look with expressive eyes and plastic beak is adorable

Seems unused but shows age stains on the fabric

The costume shows some light age stains

this head is carved in such way that appears to have multiple expressions depending on the angle it is held

The colors are very nice and the airbrushing details make this character stand out even more

He will certainly be a welcome addition to any puppet collection
